craniosacral therapy-
I am currently completing my training to become a Biodaymanic Craniosacral Therapist through Stillpoint in NYC.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a form of body work that uses gentle touch to support rest and healing in a person's whole system. Orienting primarily to the body's central nervous system (the brain + spinal cord), BCST supports a person to drop from a sympathetic nervous system state (fight, flight, freeze) to a parasympathetic nervous system state (rest & digest) over the course of the session through gentle touch and deep listening into the layers of a person's system- physical, emotional and spiritual. BCST's roots come from Shawnee and Cherokee indigenous healing practices, that were codified and professionalized by western Osteopathy in the mid 1800s.
this is ancient wisdom
this is a non-western practice
this is nonlinear healing
There is a legacy of colonization, violence and erasure in the history of BCST. Part of my work with BCST is acknowledging and honoring the important origin story of this work, with accountability and gratitude to Indigenous healers who have and continue to steward this practice. I join a community of BCST practitioners committed to de-colonization, healing justice, and honoring the Indigenous origins of this work.
I will be seeing private clients as well as offering community clinic days starting in September 2024, upon completion of my program.
please email me directly - [email protected] to inquire about booking a session with me.
